This week, the PE department hosted an unforgettable event as students from Years 3 to 6 participated in the much-anticipated annual Lions Sports Day. The atmosphere was electric as students put their training to the test, showcasing their skills in various track and field events.
Over the past four weeks, students have been preparing diligently during PE lessons, practicing techniques and refining their abilities in different athletic disciplines.
Their dedication paid off as they confidently stepped onto the pitch, ready to embrace the challenge and enjoy the competition.
The events featured an exciting lineup including sprinting races, jumping and throwing events and the ever-popular relays. Each student had the opportunity to discover their strengths, challenge themselves, and push their limits alongside their peers.
Adding to the energy of the morning, each class proudly wore their designated colors, transforming the field into a vibrant sea of school spirit. Cheers and encouragement echoed through the air as students displayed teamwork, sportsmanship, and mutual respect—values that lie at the heart of Sports Day.
For many, Sports Day is a highlight of the school year—a moment to celebrate not only individual achievements but also the power of unity and perseverance. Sports Day is indeed a competition, but also an opportunity for all students to demonstrate how they are onboarding the meaning of the IPC Personal Goals, embracing challenges, push through setbacks, and turn obstacles into opportunities for growth. Winning is rewarding, but the true victory lies in learning, improving, and striving to be the best version of ourselves.
A special thank you goes to our parents, teachers, our amazing facilities team, and the PE department for their support in making this event such a success. As we wrap up another fantastic Sports Day, we look forward to next year, eager for another opportunity to come together, compete, and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
